Quinceañeras

Requirements and important information

Please Note: Quinceañeras must have received their First Holy Communion in order to have a Quinceañera Mass. Copy of the First Holy Communion certificate must be submitted.

We look forward to seeing you at the Quinceañera Classes. Classes will be on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in Rooms 4 and 5 on the following days:

Team members may be sending text messages and/or phone calls from time to time to remind participants of important events/information.

Attendance and Class Work:

Quinceañeras and at least one parent must attend all three classes. If parent(s) cannot attend, one of the Godparents may attend in their place. Please arrive on time so classes are not delayed.

Quinceañera’s Responsibilities:

1. Actively participate in classroom activities, discussions, assignments or homework.
2. Behave in a Christian manner at all times by showing respect and being cooperative with everyone in attendance.
3. Attend weekly mass, either on Saturday at 6:00 PM or Sunday at 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM.
4. Not use cell phones during class time; either turn off cell phones or turn in their cell phones to team members (at team member’s discretion).
5. It is strongly recommended Quinceañeras know the following prayers:

Parent’s/Godparents Responsibilities:

1. Actively participate in classroom activities, discussions, or assignments.
2. The Quinceañera Mass is not a sacrament. It is a mass of thanksgiving and a blessing. However, parents and Godparents should actively participate in the Quinceañera’s spiritual formation.
3. Mass attendance is very important. As a family worshipping together at mass, this becomes a Blessing for all of the members of the family. Please make every effort to attend mass as a family.
4. As a Catholic Christian Community, we encourage respectful and responsible communication amongst each other. Please remember (and remind your daughter) to be respectful and appreciative of the team members who are all volunteers.

We have read the Quinceañera Classes Requirements and Important Information listed above and agree to abide by these rules. We further understand that if we do not abide by these rules, we may not be able to have our Quinceañera Mass. To avoid any conflicts or misunderstanding, parents will work with their daughters so they actively participate and are prepared to receive a blessing at their Quinceañera Mass.
